Have you written a list of gifts that you want for Christmas this year?
Yes only because my aunt starts bugging us for lists right after Halloween even though she never seems to read them come Christmas time
i have an amazon wish list. does rhat count?
Something I want, something I need. Something to wear, something to read....pretty easy to stick to those rules. mime was new headphones, new phone battery, socks, and any novel thicker and harder to read for my grade. I tend to read more college level and there are barely and good books at school.
No! My husband so darn cheap I never even got a wedding ring. We've been married almost 40 years.
My in laws asked me to make an amazon.com wish list for my whole family. They just go on and click what they want and it's shipped to them, super easy.
Can't afford anything anyway so what's the point
Does Pinterest count?
Well I didn't have to and she knew what to get ME.... Then again she saw my pampered chef wish list ;)
When asked what I wanted I usually just ask for a thumb drive because they're cheap and always useful.
No. Maybe that's because there's nothing I really need. I have more than enough to keep myself occupied and usually when I do want something, it's usually just an app that costs little or nothing.
Yea and my mother in law should take a hint and buy stuff off of it since she keeps saying she doesn't know what to get me lol
No. But I'll be happy if I get any presents.
AND we get to discuss it via SOH! so much fun!
Having anAmazon or whatever other site wish list seems more and more common.
Only because my Mom & MIL both asked....
Hahaha that's funny.
We all buy each other gifts in my family, lists help.
I do but it doesn't go anywhere unless it's asked for. Otherwise I tend to get homemade jewelry that really isn't my taste from the in-laws. I make lists of what I'm getting for everyone else, too. It's fun. :)
I didn't need to make a list I sat on Santa's lap and told him directly
No, but I've written a list of gifts I want to get for other people this year :)
Sometimes I wish this app had a dislike button.
Yes, our family goes crazy trying to figure out what to buy for each other without lists.
I buy my own gifts with my husbands money.
I live with men. Who one year bought me jumper cables for my car. Yes, I write a list. With lots and lots of choices and price ranges. Something for everyone.
I haven't made a Christmas list in forever. I don't really even want anything for Christmas anyways.
Seriously though, my family and I are going to go wassailing, just like they did back in 17 century New England! Lock ur doors folks!
Im guessing no. Amirite?
Funny. I did something similar for my daughter. Anytime we were shopping together and she saw something she liked, I snapped a pic of her with the item. Then when people asked me what she would like for Christmas, I would text them one or two of the pictures. Technology is fun. :)
Im getting a new stereo with iphone hookup so i can jam to my psychedelic and progressive rock collection as i drive to school. Hell yeah man.
What am I, 10?
Lol. Over 40?
We pick out our own gifts. My grandma (adopted and raised me) gives her 4 kids $100 each year. So we go shopping with her. My husband & I pick out our gifts while we're shopping for other people. So no need to make a list.
I did, even better, I save the things I want on Amazon's wish list. My husband knows exactly what I want.
Bama - I can relate.
Good gift giving is a talent. I wish I had it.
sort of. I usually just want money, but this year I kept coming across things that I wanted and I would just snap a picture with my phone in case someone asked. that's sort of like a list, isn't it? a photo list. I haven't really written out a list since I was a kid.
I just want to be able to make rent.
I want gift cards and money. Im not the type that will want something I see on a commercial, I'm more of the "woah that looks awesome I want to buy that right now" type of person.
Happy to share the cool stuff Jlove! :)
My sister has a list filling a paper both sides (one idea being "a new sister"), but I don't really want anything. My parents, aunts and uncles are asking me what I want and I'm pretty much happy with what I have. It's not a bad thing though, with Christmas being so commercialized anymore
@dawl - Cool. I'll check it out. You're always a good source of interesting sites and apps. :)
You should check out kaboodle- website for adults to make virtual lists with pictures of what they want and your family has access to it. It's insane.
I'm so sorry hawkn! I wish I could fit the entire town into my home here! Praying for peace for you all ????????????????????????
Adults that are asked to write them. My dad asked me to write one. And then I asked my bf for a list as well. He's really fickle and if there is ever something he wants he usually buys it right away, so he is difficult to buy for.
Yes, but only because my dad asked for one. At first I had to wrack my brain for what I wanted but then I started remembering all of the things I lost when my house was broken into, so a bunch of that wound up on the list.
No, the people likely to give me something know me well enough to know what I want or would like. The gifts I appreciate the most are usually the ones I least expected anyway.
only because I'm really hard to shop for so my sister took my phone and kept it until I had a list for her hahaa
No, @Hawkn, NOOOO! This madness has to stop! People can't even go to church and grieve. I'm both disgusted and angered.
Only Santa knows.
