Show of Hands

Every time I see a movie about politics, the bad, rotten, corrupt politician is the Republican. Is this Hollywood pushing its agenda or just because it is easier to use the stereotypes of the greedy/rich/warmonger vs. Idealist/ecologist/pacifist?
