Do you have any step-siblings or half-siblings? (UQ)
Sucks to be in your situation, but I totally adore all my step-parents. I have no full blood siblings, just a couple of half siblings and 2 step sibs. I consider myself and my family very blessed and fortunate for that. Lol.
If I could give advice to an expanding/blended family, try therapy.
Nope. Mom and dad have always been happy together.
All half sisters. Three of them. Fifteen years older than me. I'm essentially an only child. With the benefits of some additional vacations to see them.
All half. Older brother & sister from mom's first marriage. Younger brother & sister from dad's second marriage. I was raise mostly alone, older set is way older and the younger set is in another state. We are all pretty close. Nothing comes between us.
6 half sisters, one step sister and two step brothers. No full siblings. Mom and dad were both married three times. Only grew up with one of the sisters. Met the rest about 10 years ago. Didn't even know they existed. Lol
I can tell you that being a step child sucks too. Watching how your step father loves and adores his "real" daughter but acts like you are just some other mans reject. It goes both ways sadly.
3 Half siblings - triplets!!
No siblings at all.
Have an interesting relationship with a paternal half-sister. Have not seen her since she was 6 (She's 30, I'm 38).
We're Facebook friends, and have chatted briefly through email...until recently she lived only 15 min away!
On top of that, no animosity between us! Family dynamics are weird sometimes
I literally lol.
She looks absolutely nothing like me and grew up literally streets away from where I did. But we keep in contact
I have a little brother and an older half brother, but everyone says that I look more like my half brother :P
I have no step or half siblings...My parents were married 58 yrs to each other...I am very fortunate.
I have 2 brothers and 1 sister, all half-siblings on my mothers side.
Am I the only one who finds these results surprising? With such a high divorce rate in the U.S., I'd think this would be much higher.
I have a half sister and half brother. My mother had 3 kids with 3 men.
Hey cornybread look its jiffymix!
Dad is 15 years older than Mom, I know he was married and I know she died. I also know they married because she was pregnant but I DON'T know if the baby survived for various reasons, there are questions I just don't ask... Dad and Mom have been married over 35 years though. I'm very lucky that way.
3 step siblings, 2 half siblings
I have 12 stepsisters, 11 step uncles, 10 half brothers, 9 step fathers, 8 half sisters, 7 half cousins, 6 step aunts, 5 half dogs, 4 step kittens, 3 half grandmas, 2 step brothers, and a partridge in a pear tree!
I had always been told I had a half sister, I would google and look her up on myspace/facebook then in September I randomly decided to try again. And low and behold I found her.
And owning it! Nicely played.
Technically I have a half sister but I consider as my sister because she is.
Step dad makes a half brother, dad marries now step mom, who has a kid. In 4 years, I went from being an only child to having a 4 year old brother and another one in school.
Not that I'm aware of
Two step brothers, a step sister, 3 half brothers, and a half sister
A step brother
A step sister
And two half sisters
I've learned the hard way that being a step-parent is the most unrewarding position to be in. You give & give & get nothing in return other than "your not my dad", "your a dick", "I hate you"
If I could give advice to some1 it's don't marry some1 with kids between ages of 7-21. Not good
I have five brothers and sisters. Only one of my brothers is a full sibling. One of my sisters technically isn't really a sibling at all; my dad's ex-wife cheated on him. I still think of her as a sister though.
But if you add the two half brothers you have one whole brother
We're just different. And dang nabbit we like it that way!
*could live without
Half siblings? Well my brother lost his legs in the war so I guess that counts.
No but I had a foster brother & a foster sister for several years. They were full blood bro & sis
My brothers have a different mom
I have a half sister who is pretty much my real sister. I never knew she was my half sister until like i was 7. I have one full sister, 3 step brothers and 5 step sisters. But I only consider my half sister and my full sister my siblings.
Really Vermont? Why do you always have to be different?
Yes my 4 siblings are all half siblings
I have a step uncle but that's it ????
I don't have any half siblings on my mom's side, but I'm pretty close with my half brother and sister on my dad's. much closer than I am to my whole brother, who is admittedly a bit of an ass hat.
I am 23. From both biological parents I have a brother who is 19. My dad remarried and now I have two half siblings as well: a brother who is 9 and a sister who is 6. I don't think of them as half siblings, though. They are my blood and I love them more than I can express. I babysit them a lot.
Biological mother: 2 half siblings.
Biological father: "6 or 8" brothers
I do have half-aunts, though.
One full sister, one half brother, and one step brother. I get to experience it all haha
Two half brothers... Lol I don't have any whole siblings...
I only have half-siblings... One half brother and one half sister. One on each side. Nice n balanced :)
