Science... Tuesday? sorry. I had one I wanted to do, and I thought I'd forget by Friday. The photon is the particle attributed to electromagnetic exchanges. The particle associated with the force that holds quarks together is the:
Well gluon does sound a lot like glue...
right? Not too cleverly named. tachyon is pronounced tack-ee-on, which isn't much better.
tachyon - is that real or just a fun reference to star trek?
It's a real thing.
cool, I have something to go look up
I win I win!! I'd like to thank my mom and dad, professor Bjostadt, my dog Tracer, and the granola bar I ate for lunch!
It's the gluon. they are bosons (integer spin, as opposed to fermions, which have half-integer spin).
Dude, post more about quantum mechanics; I love this stuff.
I know a lot about it, but I have some much to learn.
self - taught?
Indeed. I try to find teachers guides used for teaching grad students (I think), and it's pretty helpful. And I watch a lot of documentaries on it. I want to learn the math that is used, so I can get a better first hand experience of what is going on
What's your highest level of math?
Ha college algebra, but I'm pretty good at self-teaching. What types math do they use?
to get it pretty thoroughly, calc2. to get it really well, a lot.
If you send me your email address, I'll send you a good starting quantum book.
Totally, I'll take all the help I can get. Mhandley@murraystate.edu
You should have it.
I got it. I think it's definitely going I help. Thanks a lot.
no problem at all.
