I heart Finland.

It was never on my list of places to go, but I've been there several times for work & just love it. It's beautiful, the people are great & if you go up North you can find Santa's home in Lapland.

While the Monty Python fan in me wants me to say "Finland", my choice is Norway out of respect from my Norse heritage =)

Norway. Finns are incredibly introverted. Besides, Norway is beautiful!

What would make you say Finns are "incredibly introverted?"

That hasn't been my experience at all! Friendly, outgoing, jovial & likes to enjoy a good beer has been my experience.

I went 5-10 times a year for about 5 years for work, and while I got along great with my colleagues I found there was very little interaction between the different departments.

Same with going out up there; it was hard to strike up a conversation.

And then there is the ex-roommate whom confirmed all of that.

In Scandinavia there is a joke: "how can you tell whether a Finn is an extrovert? - He's looking at someone else's shoes".

That said, the country is beautiful and food great.

That's hilarious that we had such opposite encounters! Weird :)

Norway. Higher GDP, tons of oil, good proximity to Britain, good at the Olympics, and I have family there
