My teacher had a cross drawn on the board by a student, so I went up and drew an upside down cross. It was erased and I got in trouble. Right?

The teacher was right, but the other kid should've been reprimanded as well.

Pick your battles. This doesn't seem a battle worth picking.

You shouldn't be messing with the teachers board without permission.

And you responded very ignorantly.

Remember, this is hypothetical, but why should the cross be up there?

doesn't matter if a teacher would draw a cross that's their business. The student shouldn't care. Would it be different if they drew a square? If you don't have faith than it's just a mere emblem, it should only have a true meaning if the person is

BTW, When writing a hypothetical question notify people in the question.

Another student drew the cross.

like I said doesn't matter who wrote it if you have no faith than it's just an emblem.

Btw, this is mostly hypothetical. There was a cross on the board, and I did think about it, but if just want to see what everyone thought of the situation.

Maybe I should also include I erased the normal cross first. And it was put back up.

So, what was the reason for the cross?

There is no reason, just for show.

You were provoking the teacher. Having said that, as a teacher I would just have erased both crosses and let the matter be.

Well that was wrong of the teacher too.

It depends why the cross was there and who out it there. Based on the available information, my initial assessment is that you were being a d'bag. Any reason I should think otherwise?

You should be able to do that if the other student can draw a cross.

Perhaps you were educating the class on St. Peter.

You should have at least drawn the cross pieces broken off for full offensive effect.

I kid, but only just a little.

Are you asking was the teacher's actions right or yours?

Oh then, provided the info you gave us, other than the fact you were being a smart *** I would say the teacher was out of line.

I guess I was being a bit of a smart a** but just to prove a point. And sometimes you need to do that.
