Do you self-identify as a Christian?
Yes, but a lot of the Christian world doesn't think I am because they say I worship the wrong Jesus.
I am LDS and many people have said that we aren't Christian because our Jesus is not the same Jesus that they worship. I don't really understand the reasoning behind it either.
Hmmm, I don't know enough about Mormonism to say either way. All I know is that the Bible says in Romans 10:9-10:...
..."That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved....
...For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
And to that, we are Christian. Part of the claim that we aren't Christian is that we believe God the Eternal Father, His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate and distinct beings. Others are more of a misunderstanding if our belief
in salvation and being saved through grace.
The best description I've heard of the Trinity is: One what, and three whos.
I like that.
Even with a gun to my head.
I can well imagine you as a martyr who will then soon be canonized by the Pope. Of course I hope you'll never be in such dire straits.
Me too - and I'm not a Catholic. But thanks for the thought!
I don't root for any single team. I don't boo any single team.
No, I clearly don't identify as Christian.
But don't write off, pinky. My heart is full of love and wanting to do the right thing.
I'm always here if you have questions, @EB. :)
In order to be one I must share
No way, I am a proud atheist.
No sir, I am a devout atheist.
Yes sir. I am a devout follower of Christ Jesus, son of the Most High.
