Businesses that pay poverty wages are sponging off taxpayers. Their employees rely on government programs--that you and I pay for--to keep their workers housed and fed. Why should I continue to subsidize these cheapskate businessmen?

By your logic, paying taxes to support welfare is subsidizing business? Seriously, lol. Watch the video I linked below.

Let's say we raise the min wage. What happens next? The cost of goods goes up and we have to spend more $ to get the same products. So how does that help anyone? The min wage ppl will end up spending the % of income.

Why haven't any of the ppl who believe it will help come on here to defend that position???

They have their horse blinders on. They're thinking is "raising minimum wage means more money for me." They don't think past that.

Until proven otherwise, I don't think they can make an intelligent argument to rebuttal the points in the video.

Walmart just laid off a lot of employees because the poor who shop there have gotten poorer. Walmart stores ran food drives this past Christmas to get food to their own employees. How sad is that?

The biggest problem I see is it's going to be harder for teens to get jobs. We need a lower minimum wage for minors.

The minimum wage in Iowa for minors and immigrants is $4.25. Where do you live?

Kentucky only has one minimum wage of $7.25 and the state house recently voted to raise it to $10.10.

When I was fourteen I worked for the minor minimum wage and it was plenty for me. Someone should propose the idea in Kentucky.

I finally convinced my parents that raising the minimum wage is bad for the economy. Do I get a *high five*?

Hurt. As what happened near me when NYS rose. Businesses raise prices, cut hours and hiring is slowed
