Good quote, but I think the real problem is that it funtions on two extremes rather than down the middle.

You are aware that studies have shown that Fox News viewers are less informed than people who get news from any other source? Doesn't that bother you? Do you ever double check the facts they tell you?

Oops.. This was supposed to go somewhere else.

Who determined that, the media?

All it takes is enough cash and your opinion is news!

Media rarely has the time to go in depth on a subject.

Fox, MSNBC, or any other mainstream media take a quick look, mention some statistics, and make a judgement. Wham, bam thank you ma'am. All without offending anyone's sensibilities.

Let's think about the last time we got to see the perspective of the criminal. It never happens, right? It happened once when a white man shot a black man who was running away from him. Otherwise we never hear the criminal's side of the story.

The media gives us what we demand.

Hate us. I do.

Fox and MSNBC are fairly different. Though they still have lots of similarities. They are both patriotic. They report similar news. Their opinions are different, but it's a two dimensional difference.

I had trouble agreeing with Chomsky at first, but then I thought about it.

Yeah. He'd love the motormouth robots on the infomercial news networks and the repetitive noise we are fed every day.

That's why I thank God for FoxNews. It is the ONLY cable news outlet which rejects that uniformity.

Entirely. And I'm no idiot – I have a genius IQ and a Master's degree. I just happen to like watching the only news network that tells the truth instead of the same old liberal hogwash.

Tianey, I know you're a very fine and kind-hearted person, but I find it difficult to trust Fox. Just today I heard the author of the ACA CBO report explain what the report says, and it is pretty much the opposite of what Fox reported was in it.

Cat, I'll try to find more info on it then and compare to what I've heard on FN. Thanks for being so nice in contrast to the mockers. :o)

Yes. Not the entertainment "newsish" shows on Fox or MSNBC necessarily, although they are also compliant, but the network news on all four networks reports the same story, right off the wire or from a newspaper, often verbatim and identically.

I would have made a comment about foxnews being the exception. I'm serious.

That laughing emoji was for all the people who mock Fox. Should have made that clear.
