Inspired but firefly: do you like to download a book to listen to it/read it, or do you prefer a paper book that you can hold and read?

Ebook on the Kindle. Much more convenient than old-timey books.

Audiobooks. If you get a good narrator, they're heavenly. And even if you don't, they keep my attention better than the written word.

Orson Scott Card. The narrator for Ender's Game is sooo good. My favorite narrator of all time is the guy who does Richard Peck's "The Teacher's Funeral." Even though it's a kids book, it's one of my favorites ever, and the narrator does...

The Teacher's Funeral is about as different as you can get from EG. It's a comedy that takes place in a small farming community in Indiana in 1904.

An audiobook is *not* a "fake book."

Good, because it's my favorite way to read. I actually think a great narrator can make a good book even better.

As a retired English teacher, I love physical books. But as one who is legally blind, all I can comfortably read now are e-books. At the largest font size and in "Night Mode" (white on black), I can read comfortably again.

OMG, Kaz! Are you sure you want to hear all this? I have a very diverse reading tastes. I taught British Lit in high school, and I love Shakespeare and books about who really wrote his works (it was actually Edward deVere, the Earl of Oxford). I also

For nighttime or traveling, ebooks are fantastic. for sitting in a coffeeshop reading, paper books can't be beat.
