Today I am the proud owner of two new baby rats! Problem is, I have no idea what to name them, so I'm open to suggestions. They're sisters.
I'm a Dr. Suess fan, Rat 1 and Rat 2
by the way Congrats!
Lucy and Ethel.
Our kids had white rats named peanut butter and jelly.
Sissy and Mimi
lollipop and cupcake. cuff and link. frick and frack. snowflake and snowball. cheddar and mozzarella. any other 2 kinds of cheese.
Ellie and Ollie
How about Chit and Chat
I vote Pinky and Brain.
Several people have said this. What is it a reference to?
You don't know? :C
It's a cartoon from the 90's about two lab rats. Ones a genius the other a moron.
Ah. I was too young in the 90s to remember these things ;)
I always identified with both of them.
Boo! I was young but not that young. You should look it up and watch a few episodes.
Hillary and Sarah
Tiera and Cali. Then they can fight my cats. :)
I think your cats would win. These guys are not the brightest just yet.
No, wait! Pinky and the Brain.
Miley and Justin
Thing 1 and Thing 2
Fievel, and whatever his sister's name was from American Tail
Bubonic and plague. Disgusting creatures.
Well sure, wild rats can be, but these guys are bred to be cute and cuddly! Rats are extremely smart and love people, they're basically like dogs but smaller and less work.
And sometimes they smell like corn chips...
Thank you!! I have always said this! (Tortillas, actually, but close enough) Everybody thinks I am so weird for saying that, but it's true!
Bean and Dee??
Chip & Dale
Tom & Jerry
Bed & Jerry
Nancy and Hillary
Ugh I'd rather not be terrified by them! ;)
How about Laverne & Shirley or Thelma & Louise?
Willard and Templeton
Rats are extremely smart. They will eventually get out if you do not have a very secure cage.
I do don't worry. I've had 7 rats before this, I know their conniving little brains.
Then you are an expert. ;)
Aw :) I wanna get some pet rodents. I had a pet gerbil a couple years ago but it died :'(
:( rats are definitely the best rodents, if you ask me. They're trainable, very social, love to play with you, and are very friendly (I've had 7, these now make 9, and never once been bitten)
You're totally making me want a pet rat. You should link pictures of your enclosure
You mean like the cage, or the rats themselves?
Both! But mostly the cage. What's conducive to happy rats?
Relatively big cage, stuff to climb on, peanuts and fruit (as snacks, not as their only diet), lots of human interaction, a rat buddy, a clean cage but not sterile (they like their own smell), things to chew, a place to run around, and love!
A good sized rat cage is pretty expensive, but I got mine at a garage sale for $10. Used ones a generally a LOT cheaper bc people really want to get rid of them and free up garage space.
Scabbers and Master Splinter.
WHAT A FEMALE CANT BE A MASTER WHATCHA TRYNA SAY YOU SEXIST OR SUMN
Stop yelling at me :"(
k sry :-'\
Or Speedy Gonzales
The last pair I had were named Scamper and Squeak.
Pinky and the Brain. Come on now, that's the only choice for rats.
Weren't the lab mice? Maybe they were rats. I thought they were mice.
They were, but they're still great names
Great Minds think alike... and so do we!
Thelma and Louise.
