The coca-cola commercial was about being open and diverse, what America is really about.
I'm going to have to look up this commercial. It sounds beautiful.
I like it. I really liked it when I found out the whole thing was America. I thought it was going around the world, but it was showing that the whole world can be found in America alone. Real neat.
I just watched it. Absolutely beautiful.
It's a little offense to have that song sung in other languages. As it is specifically about America.
No it's not. It's celebrating the dive rusty of this country.
It doesn't matter. It's an American song. It was disturbing to hear it in a foreign language.
It does matter. These people are American and speak different languages. This country is made up of all different people and that's what the ad was about.
Are you offended that people speak different languages in America?
Depending on how you define "foreign language", everything but Native American languages are foreign, including English, or pretty much nothing is foreign, considering nearly every language on Earth is spoken in America.
I'm offended by an American song sung in a for ign language. (English is America's language)
Let me first say that I don't like name calling in discussions because it doesn't add to the discussion and it just shows you can't argue with facts but it's called for here. You're an idiot. Your argument is weak and close minded and disgusting.
commonsense, you should know this more than anyone being that you live in one of the most diverse states in the US. Are those people any less american? Why don't they deserve a shout out? They contribute just as much as you or I do. More than me.
Lol. Alek, you are amusing. I'm an idiot because of my difference of opinion.
It's fine if someone sings or shouts out that song in any language they want. More power too them. All in saying is that it sounds disturbing if it's not English.
I dont think it's a question of a difference of opinion. It's that it reflects America and you find it disturbing. Do you think your image in a mirror is disturbing? Because that song was a reflection of America, and I don't find it disturbing at all
Not offended, but also not "of course". America is really about liberty, not diversity.
It was reminiscent of the 2006 nuesrto himno, The Star Spangled Banner in Spanish.
And that's a bad thing?
Why is anyone upset about this?
This question is extremely hard to answer.
I didn't even know people were upset o.O I thought it was a beautiful representation of what America is (even if they were trying to sell us coke at the time)
We all speak many languages. We all look different. We all believe in different things. We all come from different places. We are all American. This is America the beautiful.
Yay! for faux-outrage! It's the new politically correct.
Well the war on xmas season is over, so it fills the same void.
There are those that need hate to keep them warm instead of acknowledge the deep hollow place inside of them.
The fact that so many people are upset over it baffles me.
Me too. This country is about diversity and then people flip out when diversity is shown.
It's only about diversity when they want it to be. And don't people dare speak in their native tongue! Oh no! That's entirely unacceptable...
