If the colonies seceded from England any state today can do the same from DC. It doesn't have to mean YOU would like it, but this is a thought experiment. If this govt is the product of secession then it cannot make the same act illegal.
One World Gov
No state will ever successfully secede
The technical ability to secede exists. The legal authority to do so does not.
We were not part of England. They bled us dry and did not give us any representation. People have representation, the right to vote the right to own property and many other rights. Each individual state.
This piece of dirt was as much a part of England as Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico are of the US.
This smoke and mirrors called congress is hardly enough to justify all of the bullshît going on right now.
And I am NOT represented.
Look how well it worked for the CSA...
Look at how violent and corrupt this "land of the free" is. This isn't freedom if there's a gun at your head to remain.
REB - RICK makes a good point. Although we broke free of the UK, we did so via war. CSA tried the same path, and failed. I'm not sure what leads you to believe that secession must be legal if the way the colonies did it was via an illegal act.
Because just like criminals must surrender any ill gotten gains of crimes, the same is true from this government. If it's roots were illegal then it as a whole, throughout history and today, is STILL illegal and illegitimate. You don't get both ways
Actually you can have it both ways. I would bet that EVERY nation on the planet holds that an attempt at a coup is illegal as it threatens the sovereignty of the land. If that coup is successful, AND they have the backing of a large powerful ally,
They MIGHT have a chance at being recognized as a sovereign nation by the OTHER sovereign nations. If they don't have an ally - or the current gov has a bigger one, chances are they will be invaded, or embargoed by every other nation.
spoken like a true loyalist.
just for fun, Google the state constitution of new Hampshire which was written around the same time as the federal one. I won't tell you what you're looking for but start at the beginning, it won't take long.
REB - stop whipping insults at folks who don't 100% agree with you, or I will unfollow you - yet agin. It's rude, and uncalled for.
What I laid out above is a rep of how new countries are born today. It's cynical to be sure, but it's what I see.
It actually goes beyond that. Anyone can choose at anytime not to be part of America. If they can't, then they are not truly free.
