Coca Cola's commercial from the Superbowl has some upset. Did it bother you?

I thought it was a great ad. Didn't realize how beautiful that song would be in other languages. Reminded me of when Coke was synonymous with America. Yeah. Good ad.

I am ok with it being many different languages. I would have been pissed if it would have been just English and Spanish.

The opposite. I thought it was one of the most powerful straight-up American dream, why we love it here commercials I've ever seen. Very well done, and very moving.

If you missed it, and are relying on someone else to tell you how horrible it was, decide for yourself:

How date they!?!?!? They are sick people tearing this country apart!!!!! They used a #!!!!! XD no not really tho it was ok. My problem with different languages though it messes with the syllable count.

Not at all. I think it's just fine that many Americans are people who have come here from other countries and have retained their native languages at least in part. I think it's stupid and insular of some native-born Americans to expect that

everyone who immigrates here will become just like some stereotypical generalized American.

Yes. It seemed agenda-driven in light of the current immigration debate. Also, I am all for diversity in culture, but not diversity in language within America. We speak English here. Show all those different people singing their phrases in English.

Rather than politically driven, I'd say it's profit driven. Coke wants to appeal to as many Americans as possible, and relate to the rest of the world.
And I liked the commercial.

S, you have a good point. I still think it could be profit and agenda both. And I would have liked it a lot more if they had all sung in English - DIVERSITY of races/cultures and UNITY of language sends an even better message. :o)

See I see it as diversity in languages, unity in the message.

We can agree to disagree on this one. ;-)
