Took AP Calculus in high school and somehow got a B. I'm taking trig now in college because I'm bored and miss math. The required math was at least algebra but, what can I say? I love math!

I had college algebra last semester and am in pre calc now. Next year I plan to take calculus and statistics

Just two years of high school math – Algebra and Geometry. My son, however, got through Trigonometry and Pre--Calculus. And he's a singer and actor. My wife, a CPA, is great at math. And my daughter, who teaches Radiologic Tech, is good too.

I passed high school Algebra with a D, was then required to take Geometry (don't get me started on the brilliance of forcing a child to take a class they know they will fail before they start) so my parents got me a tutor. I passed with another D.

My math skills don't need to be too in depth.

I went through Calculus in high school but slacked off in college. I wanted to take College Algebra, but my advisor refused to sign off on anything lower than Pre-Calc. So that's what I took.

HayleyS looking up.

I only went to algebra 2 in high school and finite math in college. I'm math stupid.

Senior year I'm doing a college level multi-variable calculus. Not sure how much farther I'll go, but I enjoy math, so probably a couple more levels up.

Same! Except I'm not really sure I want to continue...

It looks like classes are going to get snippety soon. Should be interesting...

I've never heard the word snippety used to describe math before haha
As long as you try to remember that Stokes', Greens' and the fundamental theorem of line integrals are essentially the same idea for different degreed functions, it's not too hard.

Exactly. I still walk out of that class brain dead though.

I'm in Calc right now (junior year) but I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do next year, it really depends. Maybe AP stats.

Don't do stat. It's extremely boring, and quite easy. I bet you could get away with a college class next year.

I'm going to schedule an appointment with a local college in a few months - I'm only a few credits short so I may be able to do all college courses next year. What math class would you recommend?

You could take a harder calc, but that would be boring. I'm not really sure, because the class I'm taking is the hardest that the college I go to offered. Best ask the college.

Probably AP stats but I'm not sure. I'm not very good at math

Stats classes are sort of strangely arranged here. It's like you either do a few mid-level, then go to stats and stop, or go really high and then stats. What were you taking before that?

There are some weird rules about math in Florida high schools. Can't take trig they teach trig with pre-calc, and usually people either take stats or pre-calc as a senior or take calc and stats as a junior and senior.
