If you could have the freedom to continue watching only one for the rest of your life, would you choose television shows (not including movies) or movies?
Doctor who beats every movie you could think of, including the doctor who movie, daleks Exterminate
I already watch movies more anyway.
I picked movie because who says you have every channel on your TV.
A good show is a good show. A good movie is a work of art.
There are a few great tv shows (breaking bad, doctor who, the office. At least for me) but there are far more great movies.
I've never been moved by a tv show.
Need my Doctor Who
WHAT?!?! republicans and democrats agreed on something!! HALLELUJAH!!!
Well, sometimes there is nothing good on tv BUT movies. And also it is much cheaper to rent movies than buy tv episodes.
if I can watch Netflix.. I'd watch old TV shows like X-FILES, ER, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie plus new ones like Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Justified and more...
I first said movies, but I came up with one (what I think could be considered as a) loophole.
Would the daily news/weather on the local channel be considered a TV show? It's not really for entertainment, but for information. And there really aren't "news movies" that are current information...
Sherlock and Doctor Who are of course exceptions. :D
TV is so stupid these days..
Movies because commercials suck.
Unless I dvr everything...which I generally do, but snooky and other just plain stupid shows ruined tv for me.
Only a few awesome ones I enjoy.
Selected TV programs. I record my favorite shows like COPS, and Coast Guard Alaska. Shows where people are making a real difference in this world.
Family guy and How I Met Your Mother. I'm set.
I voted for TV, but I'm a retired newspaper and internet movie critic. Saw Les Miserables today and it should win every category at this year's Oscars. Flat-out amazing! As for TV, my favorite was House M.D. And I love Big Bang Theory!
Sherlock, Doctor Who (old and new), Slings and Arrows, The Daily Show, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, The Office, The I. T. Crowd, Black Adder, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Once Upon a Time, SNL... I spend too much time watching TV but I balance it with reading and studying so it works.
u know studies show that the happiest people in life watch the least amount of tv? my personal experience has proven this fact....tv bogs down the mind
TV, I really like anime. Especially Sailor Moon, haha.
Also I like the Simpsons but they're not as funny anymore. :/
I couldn't live without psych, parks and rec, castle, and modern family. I watch them almost everyday on Netflix. And Hulu.
What category does YouTube fall under?
I get way more invested in television shows, and I could never give up my favorite programs. TV it is.
Cable channels have some great series going on.
Hbo, showtime, and amc alone could keep me entertained in tv shows!
I hate TV and don't even ever want to own one. A movie every now and then at the cinema is fine.
Best movie ever : LOTR trilogy.
If you don't know what I'm talking about go fly a kite :)
Books!!! And books are turned into movies more than tv shows. But books are my thing.
I have rationalized that by the fact that they release multiple episode plots as "miniseries movie" which totally count as a movie.
I like The Big Bang Theory because students always tell me how alike Sheldon I am. It's seriously like looking in a mirror with slightly more hair. (I buzz clip my head to avoid hat hair.)
BBC's Top Gear in heavy rotation!!!!
Would there be boobies on these tv shows?
Amen, discovery channel is one of the best channels! I love gold rush and moonshiners
I'm a fan of long term continuity, so tv shows for me.
I watch more documentaries on the science channel then anything. I could live without movies as long as I still have those.
Grey's Anatomy, Big Bang Theory, NCIS LA, White Collar, NFL...
Besides, most movies eventually show up on tv...(Star Wars)
I said tv so I could at Keats get the news and weather
The Amazing Race...
Doctor Who, Fringe, Alcatraz, X Factor, Americas Got Talent, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Sherlock Holmes, Top Gear. HOW COULD I PASS THESE UP?!
I like documentaries but this wasn't an option to choose. I could watch discovery channel for the rest of my life.
My daughters fav too. I bought her a few of the season sets a couple years ago.
TV sucks sweaty socks.
That would be TV
What about honey boo-boo?
I have a short attention span and lose interest in movies after 5 mins.
I definitely agree! Though I would choose Breaking Bad over sports (and I absolutely love watching football, basketball, and hockey). When I chose TV over movies it was bc I had BB, dexter, californication, prison break, lost etc in mind and they beat out my favorite movies.
try animal planet
I totally dig Breaking Bad, one if the great shows in the history of television! However, I picked "TV" for another reason:
