Do you use video chat or video conferencing?
Definitely with you there, Zod.
I prefer voice calls as they're easier than texting and you don't have to worry how you look. ????
This is not a yes or no question...
Very rarely on my computer (tho my laptop does have a built in webcam), mostly on Xbox Kinect or facetime.
And, oh, I only tried FaceTime once. I no longer tell ppl I have an iPhone or they'll want to FT me too.
I have used video chat with MSN and Skype with a few people also. I don't like it because I feel like I have to look presentable 24/7. I feel like it's more of an intrusion than a convenience. Now I just tell people my cam's not hooked up. If I was still dating it'd be different.
Never tried it on my phone. None of my friends have it set up on theirs.
We use Skype and see our daughter in London all the time. It was great at Christmas!
Only for school
I go to school in MA and my sister goes to school in GA... we video chat all the time!
susanr I use it for that too, but now I have the urge to stick one in with a bunch of replies to myself every few hundred comments on the longer threads, just to be mean. Payback for 6/2(2+1).
I only use face time and that's so my squirrelly kids can talk to aunts, uncles, and grandparents. They haven't gotten the talking on the phone thing figured out yet.
I also make my daughter FaceTime me when she gets home from school daily. I know immediately that she's actually at the house lol
At work our weekly meetings our done over video. It's great once all the bugs were worked out and easier too.
I've only used FaceTime over the iPhone, and think it's cool it no longer requires Wi-Fi.
I do with my son who works for Twitter he helped me with it.
I'm with you on that!
Me and my friend just discovered facetime on our new ipods. We do it almost every day
I like face time, but don't video chat me on the toilet. My brother does that to me! Disgusting!!
Skype, close enough, all the time. Although I use Skype-Out for voice calls even more than Skype video calls. It's just like FaceTime, only easy to use, not limited to Apple, and actually works most of the time. I use FaceTime too, just not as often as Skype.
FaceTime all the time!!!
Skype sometimes when my husband is out of town. FaceTime with my mom sometimes. Probably 5-6 times a year...never without the kids.
I have to say, it was pretty cool for my husband to be able to read our son a picture book at bed time every night he was gone despite being 1500 miles away.
I've only used it twice. Almost a year ago my husband went out of state on business for a week. Our son was too young to understand talking to him on the phone much, so we video chatted so he could actually see his dad.
For work, Yes.
Home use, No.
We use it at work, and we use FaceTime on occasion at home to chat with relatives.
G+ hangouts are awesome.
My hubby and I are usually separated by 2500 miles but I prefer to text. This way I don't have to put makeup on lol.
I skype with my boyfriend when I'm away at school. I go to college five hours away and don't get to see him often.
Skype is the best!!!!!!
We are spread around the world. I Skype family and friends in many countries.
Only for work.
This user is currently being ignored
Only on the deployments that my hubby is lucky enough to have the technology to skype.
Nope. No need.
No. I probably never will. I just don't like it. I'd rather call or text.
for the Army. Otherwise, I prefer phone calls to video.
My boyfriend and I will use Skype when he's away for training
I've used video chatting on MSN once or twice with family and at work we just use phone conferencing.
I have an aversion to the phone, I'm more of a texter, video calling is taking it too far for me.
FaceTime and Skype.
I use FaceTime more than anything else.
Whenever I'm out of town I iChat with my wife and kids.
"There can be only one!"
I don't even like making regular phone calls.
I have used it, but don't use it regularly.
Teamspeak and Steam chat are good enough for my friends. Family is all phone calls
At least you know you've reached the bottom of the thread, when you run into the "firsts," which is sometimes a problem (for me anyway) when comments are loading slowly. Otherwise, I have never understood the point of hollering "first!" And then not saying anything else.
I Google+ video chat with my friends. But that's about it.
