“An immigration judge issues a stern warning: “If you don’t show up, there is a good chance the court will order you removed.”” Should immigrants who don’t show up for their court dates be automatically deported?

Unless they have an emergency. They need to call to be rescheduled.

Well, there’s proof that you don’t know what the hearing is for

Depends on whether the court determines there to be a legitimate reason. If this was policy then ICE could simply block people from attending their hearings and deport them.

I have no idea what the hearing is about.

Then why would you offer an expert opinion like that? The hearing is to determine their eligibility for asylum. We used to determine whether someone had legitimate asylum claims before they came into the country. But Biden let everyone in and gave them a court date for determining their asylum claims. So this gave them a free pass in our country for years. And then they still don’t show up because their asylum claims are bogus. So then ICE has to go find them. And then people like you claim that they are being kidnapped.

“Yes, migrants are being deported after showing up for court, but there are specific reasons and tactics involved. The Trump administration has implemented a strategy where government attorneys request the dismissal of certain asylum cases during routine hearings, which then makes individuals eligible for "expedited removal". Once the case is dismissed, immigration agents, often in plainclothes, arrest the individuals in courthouse hallways immediately after they leave the courtroom. These arrests are coordinated in advance, with DHS lawyers communicating updates via text messages to waiting ICE agents.”

They were denied asylum.

Their asylum claims were denied because they didn’t qualify. The case was dismissed before they ever got to court. What part of that don’t you get?
