I've always wanted to be a professional voice actor, but there's luck is always going to be a factor along with talent, equipment, and practice. I've never really had the confidence to really pursue 'real projects', but it's still a nice hobby.
Sorry, I should say what I do. I am a college professor. I have taught for years. I love it. It’s not always easy, it can be a lot of hard work to do it well and put students first. I love it, though. My students are such lovely human beings. I just did about 12 interviews for students joining our program in the last 3 days. It was so much fun to get to know them. What cool people.
Ok, I suppose I’d be a university professor. I loved teaching!! And being Dream-world, I wouldn’t have to abide by the political correctness and ring-kissing required for such a job.
Have you not seen how many people died in NYC, you asshole? So sick of you constantly politicizing non-political things and trivializing the thousands of deaths that occurred in the NYC metropolitan area. You really think packed Broadway shows can go on during this?
I wanted to teach MS since I was 23. But no college, paycheck regular, family growing. Then 49 yr old freshman. Taught my first class when I was 53. Now 70. Would’t trade it for anything 😎
That is amazing! You are never too old to chase your dreams. I wish my dad had been able to follow his dreams, too. God bless you for wanting to teach middle school. Now, after years of teaching, I handle middle schoolers well. As a young teacher they would have eaten me alive.
My Wife works for a doctors office, she let it slip about 10years ago that they are required to enter whatever you wrote down on the forms into the system.
And so began my career lol.
Every once in a while I will hear someone laugh when they read my chart.
Yeah, actually been busy with my real job. Just happened to see your jackassery response when scrolling back while home with my sick wife. I don’t know many people from Ohio, other than Joe Burrow (who I’m a big fan of) and a good friend’s wife. So I’m gonna go ahead and assume you don’t speak for all Ohioans when you randomly talk s#1^ about people you don’t know.
Astronaut. Adjusted for reality. My real *dream* job is backup pilot and engineer as part of the crew of the Rocinante. Upgraded from my original dream job, starship commander.
Travel journalist. Just travel wherever I want....take photos, meet people, do new things....write about it.
I’ve already worked as a journalist. I’ve traveled most of my life for work. Never combined the two.
Where would be your ideal place to travel to and who would you meet there? If you could pick anywhere and anyone without fear of your safety or international laws (in case it’s a place you’re not supposed to travel to currently).
My biggest challenge with travel right now is having a real job that I always have to return to. So if you get 7-10 days off....you don’t want to spend half of it enroute & back. So if I had to pick just 1 place....it would be South Africa....I’ve never been. After some surging and a visit to Johannesburg I would spend a couple weeks on safari.
And in my fantasy world of unlimited travel....I would just keep on going around the world...Antarctica....Australia, New Zealand, Chile, etc.
.
Well Greece for starters (I’m Greek). Was supposed to go this summer for the first time, but due to an unprecedented shit storm, that’s out of the picture 😞
After that, top nations I would like to visit would be the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Japan (no particular order). I might actually plan for a backpacking trip of Europe for next summer.
Basically, I’d like to see as much of the world as I can before I die.
I’m hoping next year to go to Greece and Italy. I hope you’ll get to go as soon as possible! The UK is a fantastic place, especially if you enjoy nature, so many great hikes and nature walks. Backpacking through Europe would be such a great adventure mate.
I could agree with this job description! Sadly, I am not independently wealthy. I have been able to travel some but not really as part of my job right now. My faves were Japan, Paris, various places in Italy and Ireland. I want still want to travel to Australia, London, perhaps Wales as that is part of my ancestry, Germany to practice language skills...Greece looks beautiful.
I’m sorry your trip to Greece was cancelled. I’m planning on going to the Cyclades in two years and England next spring. California next summer. Scandinavia and Japan will be next on my list.
Originally, we gave free computers to students. We still do. We’ve given out about 25,000 masks. Halloween 1500+ children toys and candy. New focus: children no agency will help (children of ultra wealthy, law enforcement etc). Trend is for parents to drug their children as young as age 3, to not have to take care of them. Thank you for asking
A couple, yes, in the Levantine and North America. I have done digs on Indian Reservations, and early American sites. I was always so thrilled to reveal something.
How fascinating! I find history, especially recent discoveries that add to or even change the previous theories and knowledge. You should do things like that as often as you can!
