In honor of reaching 100 followers, could you tell me a couple of basics about yourself, such as gender, age, family, and whatever else you think might be relevant?
11 year old hermaphrodite
Sorry - couldn't resist cracking a (bad) joke.
43, guy, two teenage sons. About 18 months ago, I left a comfy career in healthcare technology for the utter lunacy of running my own social polling app business full time.
Always wondered, was it a good move? Was it tough to leave a real "career" for pursuing some crazy app on an iphone?
Too bad I can't do the clapping hands and confetti emojis.
Female, 16. I like cats... :)
17. Senior in high school and after graduation I can't decide to go into pre med to be a doctor or to be a physician assistant. Chronic illness advocate. I have a black belt & hope to start the process to earn my martial arts instructors certificate
If you knew me you'd have no idea how big I am into martial arts because, for lack of a better word, I'm really "girly" *cringing because I hate that word*
I'm 40, married and have 3 sons, ages 23, 21 and 11. I have 2 doggies and am a licensed vet tech, although I currently am not working. I love shoes, purses, fashion and pink! I'm a girly girl. I own over 40 pairs of flip flops....I have a problem lol

I'm 67, female, have lived alone for 23 years & mostly in a cooperative or communal household before that. I finished college & went to grad school rather late, worked in medical research for 12 years, then lost my job. Moved to Colorado to
be near my daughter & her husband two years ago.
And you are an amazing person.
I went through Colorado on vacation last month (Estes Park, Glenwood Springs, Paonia, Grand Junction & Aurora) - was I anywhere close?
Aw, thanks Tops! You know we're almost twins, so that makes you amazing too.
jonfrei - Estes Park is the closest to me here in Fort Collins; it's about 40 miles. But well over an hour because of the canyon road... Oh, probably much longer now,
because much of the road through the Big Thompson Canyon between here & there got destroyed by the floods. I'm surprised you made it to Estes, although I know there's a back road open.
We came down from Cheyenne. I think we drove right past Ft. Collins... Isn't that right off I-25?
Yes, exactly! You would go right by on I-25. You missed the really charming part of town, Old Town. But you were about 3 miles from where I live.
23 years old and I'm a teacher :)
What do you teach? What age?
Special education at the elementary age
That's very commendable. :)

Well... Life as we knew it took a distinct turn... :) The 6 year old is adopted, and yes, if she doesn't kill us, she will keep us young forever...!
Wow great story. Why did you chose to adopt after the others were grown? Empty next syndrome?
Also, you have a fascinating SOH resume lol :)
Nest not next
We didn't choose, and had no intention - we got a phone call from the adopted daughter of our best friends saying, "I can barely take care of myself and I am afraid I will hurt her. Will you take her?" There's only one way to answer that...
My wife was on the next available plane to Kansas, and the rest is history...

We went to a place called maxes in San Francisco employees at the San Francisco Opera work there so when they sing you happy birthday it's operatic style. I posted it on Facebook.
I'm almost 28, a type 1 diabetic, and a permanent resident of Canada, where I live with my husband and baby daughter (who is almost 1).

A damn canuck? At least we know you're a LIAR since only full blooded Americans are supposed to be able to participate on SoH. :-)
I'm a US citizen, I swear! I've only been in Canada 5 years. Alberta. Prairies and cowboys. It's kind of like a colder Texas where the people aren't quite as... loud.
