From watching criminal minds, I would say the man with nothing to lose.

Depends on who has power. If the greedy person has power, probably them. Otherwise, there's nothing more dangerous than someone with nothing to lose.

A person with everything to gain is more thoughtful and careful, usually. They know one wrong move could make the sought-for prize vanish. Someone with nothing to lose, on the other hand, has no competing incentives and no reason to rein anything in.
