Who do you think would have a better chance of being elected in the 2016 general election (out of the Republicans)?

If Christie could secure a nomination, I think he'd be a strong candidate.

Personally, I'd think Christie. Would do better in some big battleground states, IMO.

Is that your gut (which is a completely fine explanation)? Or are there some early polls I am unaware of?

Just my gut (and Christie is faring much better in early polls vs. Clinton than the rest of our options). I think Christie could flip a state like Pennsylvania and regain states like CO and FL, too.

But no, I've never seen specific state polls.

I have always wondered what issues are important to certain voters in select states. Florida which is populated with an older community may worry about entitlement programs. Pa and Ohio's jobs are centered around manufacturing.

Iowa seems to be a state with some agriculture roots, and I think they are concerned about social issues. I would think Colorado and Nevada voters would find more state rights attractive. I may be wrong about my assumptions.

I can't speak for everyone but I haven't heard many positive things about Christie here other than that he did a good job with Sandy from what the news said. At the same time, not many Paul lovers here so who knows.

If republicans let the media pick for them again it will be Christie. Unfortunately

Better chance? Christie. Although I'm more of a Rand Paul guy

Rand Paul seems like he could carry a large variety of voters.

Between them, Christie. I'm not sure he could survive the primaries, but if he did, he'd have a better chance than if Paul won the nomination.
