Yes, but is there a workplace that pays in Bitcoin? Can I go to Walmart and pay with Bitcoin? It's an invented currency with the intention of making the creator rich with actual money.

No, no. I didn't mean a global shutdown of the internet. That would be bad for everyone, although gold and silver would still be the better option. I meant if there was a statewide shutdown. Like, where I live, if there were an earthquake, we'd all be trapped here for 3 to 16 months with no food, water, or electricity. Prepping is a pretty big deal here, you're considered an outsider if you don't can food, have a garden, and raise personal livestock.

So I was just curious what you would do if you had invested a lot into a nonphysical currency. I guess it's kinda moot since you don't invest in Bitcoin, though.

I dont have the kind of money to invest in bitcoin xD. Currently 1 bitcoin is worth around 6 grand. Even if there was a statewide shutdown it would still be saved on a global network.
