If we lived in a functioning democracy April 15th, when we pay our taxes, should be day of celebration.
I don't usually celebrate theft
Sorry, I don't celebrate extortion.
We live in a "functioning Republic"...... with democratic traditions, as our Forefathers intended it......
LOL, I highly doubt our forefathers would want us to be an imperial nation waging wars across the globe and upon the citizens themselves.
Amusing...... It does sound funny when you say it!.....however, we do not go around as you describe waring and such, again however, we do offer aide and support to our allies and those that are in need of assistance...... LOL!.....
Who ever celebrates paying for anything?
When you buy a new car, house, or gift for someone usually causes for celebration.
We celebrate the gift... but I'm talking about when it comes time to actually pay for it. Not giving it to someone or using it. But ya... Americans celebrate being Americans all the time
Do you celebrate everytime you pay your car payment or home mortgage?
We don't live in a functioning democracy that's why you don't celebrate paying property taxes. You can't afford to pay for your car or house in full because the super rich want to avoid taxes all year and put that burden on your sales tax, property tax, income tax, low wages, shitty commodities that break etc.
George Soros and a few other billionaires asked the New York governor last month if they could pay more taxes. Hmm wonder why? Because it is their policy their funding. It's like paying to renovate your home. They want to pay more because they see a return
