When a technology goes obsolete do you move on or still use the obsolete tech ?
I don't immediately run out & buy latest & greatest if that's the question. My iPod 4 Gen will be "obsolete" when new iOS released. I "upgraded" to iPod Touch 5 Gen & will get 6 Gen when it comes out. Only because Hubby wanted my iPod & doesn't care
about new apps or tech. We'll use oldest iPod for music in car, he'll get this iPod, & both will stay w/what we have as long as possible. When too many new apps I want won't run on latest iOS I can run, will consider next upgrade. Functional? Good!
I called my power company today and their automated recording said "if you are calling from a rotary phone..." WHO DA %*^# has a rotary phone still hahahhaahah
I still use a Walkman.
Depends on the technology... I still like taking notes with pen and paper or reading books in print, but I definitely don't check my beeper or have a land-line phone.
Warranty is out on the old one time to tweak it.
Unless it's one of those situations where the new isn't any better or even worse than the original, I'm probably going to move on. I'm a product of the technological era, what can I say?
