Inspired by Cole: A popular idea amongst millennials (teens-20 somethings who were never taught that life's not fair, who think they're inherently special for no reason, and want everything handed to them) is a Basic Income. Is B.I. a stupid idea?

I'm not opposed to it, but I prefer a more libertarian socialist economy, one based on the rejection of hierarchy and the collective wellbeing.

It's a terribly stupid idea. Speaking as a so-called millennial (I hate the term), it's not fair to place all of the blame on my generation...which generation raised us? Which generation(s) put our country in the state it's currently in and handed these problems to us? We've got to dig ourselves out of this hole, and we will need young folks to do it. I can't blame my peers for believing in things like the B.I. or socialism when they've been raised to believe government is the solution and not the problem.

👏🏼 great points. I've heard it said that the baby boomers is the worst generation.

Gavin McInnes is pretty funny. I don't agree with everything he says, but he made some solid points in the video. I don't care too much for generational warfare. There are good and bad people in every generation. I look at it like it's irrelevant who is to blame; the problem is here regardless. What's important to me is recognizing how we went wrong, and what we can do to fix it now.

Just what I was going to say. We've already entered this zone and still blame people for not being able to find a decent job.

I didn't have enough room to add that millennials are usually always talking out their ass when it comes to economics. not through any fault of their own (like much of their shot comings) it's just that they have no clue what they're talking about

Isn't 50% of the country already receiving this?

You might be able to make that claim when you add together all the welfare programs (many of which need to go) but not formally, no.
