What part of "well regulated militia" indicates that you should own any weapons you want?

The SCOTUS has already ruled the 2A protects weapons in common use by the military and that regular civilians are exactly what is referenced by militia. There are also laws that say you can't own ANY weapon you want.

Right. We should make more of those laws. And SCOTUS may have to rethink that decision.

That type of thinking is going to be the downfall of our society. You and no government official will ever take any of my guns from me.

Of course they are trying to take guns! The gun control crowd is trying to totally eliminate guns one little step at a time. We will not allow that to happen!

There's not a single piece of legislation on the table for guns to be taken away...u can't equate attempts to regulate guns to the same thing as "taking away"

Both Pelosi & Biden have said we will eliminate guns one little step at a time. Meaning one piece of legislation, then another, then another, then another until they've outlawed guns. We will not allow that to happen.

Well I've never heard either of them say that. I'm not for outlawing guns either by any means...but I don't foresee that ever happening...there's been threats of outlawing guns for decades. Talk is cheap

This is where I think a compromise can be found between both sides

If you listen to the misinformed media that has an agenda you probably think high capacity is anything more than 10 rounds when in reality 30 round magazines are STANDARD capacity. Who are you to tell me how many rounds I have to defend my family?

That is a simple step that'll reduce violent crime and mass shooting sprees. Taking away guns won't, and I know that.
