Has a company's spokesperson ever turned you off to their product or service?
Yes, when they can't pronounce the product (Hūm-ear-a, NOT "Hūm-air-a"!) or the disease (it's MESSOthelioma, not "MEESOthelioma"!). Drives me up the wall.
Mispronouncing medical terminology in a medical ad is unconscionable. I.e. Vena Cava, A Fib. Worse in med shows where I know they pay a "doc" big bigs to correct.
Agreed! After my four years of high school Latin, I got my daughter through Medical Terminology class with an A! It seems like fewer and fewer people are studying Latin these days.
There is a radio ad for an anti snore device. I think it's called Yppah (pronounced Zippah). The spokesperson is so annoying I can't listen to the ad and I would NEVER buy the product.
Or your mattress is freeee! Too annoying can't shop there.
I couldn't agree more
Some retailers are too desperate to sell
Burger King creeper
And the DNC
No. I judge a product or service based solely on its quality and how well it fits my needs.
The guy that yells the Arby's ad.
He sounds like James Earl Jones. I like it
I used to really like Lincolns. Matt McC though....I don't know if I could drive one without hearing him say "that's a bug bull," everytime I got in the driver's seat.
YouTube ads. Holy crap.
The older Old Navy commercial with the lady wearing the ugly giant eyeglasses.
Haha! I was just thinking of that lady the other day!
Yes, aggressive sales tactics are annoying and I refuse to buy anything if the representative is overly aggressive. I also dislike it when someone walks up to me and tries to sell me something.
Yep, Jehovah's Witnesses.
Remember the guy who used to shill for Subway?? Yuck!
And Flo can go pound sand somewhere else.
That AFLAC duck. He's so trustworthy.
I never had any interest in any Oxyclean product while Billy Mays was yelling at me.
Agreed! He needed to lay off the white stuff for sure 😁
Progressive Flo needs to go away... Forever.
I'd be happy to see Geico's gecko take a little hike, too.
