Maternity leave, your perception of what it actually is.
Unpaid, which is why my eventual pregnancy will be carefully planned so I'm scheduled to deliver in the summer months when I'm off work.
Allowed, but I haven't taken a full time job that didn't offer full pay for the 12 weeks. My husband hasn't ever taken a job that didn't offer at least 6 weeks at full pay with partial for the other 6.
Allowed if youre lucky. Should be paid. Interesting how none of the family values crowd seem to care about this.
What it should be: paid.
What it is: almost wholly allowed.
Should depend on the company.
In the U.S., it's allowed. Almost anywhere else, it's paid if you are employed.
In many other countries having the baby is not a choice once pregnant.
What does that have to do with maternity leave? I don't know what point you are trying to make.
Maternity leave comes from following through with a pregnancy. In America, this is a choice. How does the paid maternity leave in other countries correlate with their abortion laws?
I didn't look up other countries abortion laws because this isn't a poll about abortion.
