Not a system that operates within & just around the city, like BART in the SF Bay Area. It's too small (~150,000). We do have rail lines, mostly running north-south, including one that runs right down the middle of a downtown street. But no
passenger service, just freight.
Yes, however; it's mainly coal and cargo. In the summer months we have special tourist trains with glass ceiling cars so the tourists can enjoy the scenic vistas Alaska has to offer.
