Since you like historical facts so much you should know that the democratic+republican parties have shifted their views on most issues several times since their forming. So the Democratic Party 150 years ago isn't a reflection of what it is today.

No, they aren't. Democrats used to be the more Conservative party. Today, it's republicans.

Both parties were conservative, but the Republicans were an Anti-Slavery Conservative party. The Democrats were very much in favor of slavery. The Republicans have changed very little. The same goes for the Democrats.

A conservative Republican could argue that the Dems are still the racist party of enslavement, like they have always been.
