Have you purchased a physical book in the last twelve months?
half price books, bought nearly all of the Calvin and Hobbes collection
Do comic books count?
I've bought 4 ebooks in the last two weeks.
Textbooks count? Then yes.
Yes, I just bought Off-Season by Jack Ketchum.
Physical books are the only books I will touch.
I just got a reprint of the BSA Handbook 1st edition (1911), and we had to buy Jim Butcher's Skin Games when it came out.
Everytime I go to Goodwill or any thrift store I pick up a book or two. I am a serious book worm. I picked up Stephen King's Dr. Sleep today. I seriously wanted to read that. MY sister has been bugging me to read that too.
Too many to count or keep track of.
Miracles and Massacres by Glenn Beck
My gosh, it heartens me to see that this of the three questions has the highest percentage of "yes" votes.
I haven't bought a physical book, but a lot of digital books. :-)
I only buy physical books. Glad to see we still exist.
I switched when I moved about a dozen boxes of books up to a third floor apartment alone.
Past 12 hours :) yes I'm a bookworm
Quite a few. Mostly used books from discount stores, thrift stores etc.
Compared to E-books I own them 100% and they're mostly far cheaper.
Yes i have because i worked at a place that sold books
Yep. I like to read before bed and screens mess with my sleep pattern. Also, I have young kids and they read (only permitted an hour screen time per day).
You should ask about novels specifically because I suspect many of us are students who have to buy textbooks for class but would otherwise not buy physical books.
I thought about this, but there are a lot of digital options for textbooks, too.
Yes, but with maybe one exception they've all been used books, and almost all paperbacks. Mostly I'm filling out series of mysteries that I share with my daughter.
Probably in the vicinity of 30 or more. I have an addiction to books, especially when I'm in Powell's bookstore. That number is going to climb soon as the mothers of one of my student's gave me a $50 gift card for Powell's as a thank you.
Ooh, that's an awesome bookstore. I particularly like all the potentially handy trinkets and tools they sell near the checkout.
What kinds of trinkets and tools?
All kinds of things from the obvious, like reading lights etc, to interesting and/or whacky stuff. Hard to describe really.
I snagged a pair of gloves with treated fingertips so I could use my touchscreen without taking them off.
Red Rising by Pierce Brown and I really despised it.
Yes, for school and for entertainment.
All of my media purchases are now digital. I haven't purchased physical media in awhile.
I live for abebooks.com.
Capitolism and Feedom by Milton Friedman.
