Is it acceptable for men to have "man-boobs"?
Just say NO to chesticles!!
This biased question is better than did it snow in your area!
Men lose 3+ pounds of muscle per decade after 40 y/o. If you live long enough it saggy pec time.
I have them. It's really embarrassing, inconvenient and uncomfortable... But I probably deserve it.
It's unattractive. That said, I myself am overweight and by some standards unattractive. I am not 'unacceptable.'
Maybe people have different definitions of accepted, but by the definition I'm going by, it would be insane for them to not be accepted.
By mine as well.
I wasn't referring to you or the poll question itself, I was alluding to the insane amount of people saying it's unacceptable.
Just agreeing with you :)
Is it acceptable for women to be fat?
This is a very inappropriate question.
You're assuming an intent behind the question that I assure you does not exist. The poll is an experiment.
Congratulations to the 68% of you that are so perfect that you get to define what is and isn't acceptable.
Acceptable? If it happens, it happens! That's like asking if it's acceptable for women to have Cooper's droop!
I agree. People have a right to be who they are, and to exist the way they exist.
I wonder how many folks were embarrassed to ask me what Cooper's droop is! For their sake, the Cooper's ligaments prevent breasts from sagging, but they stretch as a woman ages, and then she has Cooper's droop. Perfectly natural.
I can only think it must be embarrassing for a man to have boobs.
Yuk. They should be doing at least 20 push-ups everyday.
It's natural if it's a fat guy, but I once knew an emo kid, skinny as crap, but had boobs. It was weird. People called him moobs and rightfully so.
What have you been smoking that makes you believe it was "right" for people to do that?
It was the most accurate nickname I've ever heard. Derogatory, definitely, but accurate.
So it would be okay for people to call a disabled student "limpy" or an Asian student "slant eyes"? Accurate doesn't mean commendable.
I said it was derogatory.
Oh I know, but you seemed to be remembering it fondly, and your tone seemed to imply that he deserves it.
Dude was weird.
That's funny! They should be respectful and wear bros too!
I thought they were manziers.
I'm not attracted to men with man boobs but that doesn't mean they aren't acceptable.
I can't help but wonder how this question would be received if it had replaced men with women and asked if it was acceptable for women to be flat-chested?
Well, I mean this one wasn't well-received.
Women don't like it when they're on the receiving end of body-shaming...I don't really understand how the question as worded was justified in light of that
The question wasn't intended to body shame. I wanted to see how people would interpret the poll.
I think so. If a man has "moobs" that's just an inevitable side effect of being overweight and lacking muscle in the pectoral area. So basically they're just a little heavy. Women are lucky, when they get overweight their boobs just get bigger :P
Thinking about getting me some stapled on. Wife is being pretty stingy with hers.
Only if ya wear a bra. JK!
Well it's not the most attractive sight, but bodies come in all shapes.
It's your thing. Not my business. I'm sure you could make an argument from a health standpoint, and even recommendations, but it's not hurting anyone.
Not for me to say. I am "budding out" a bit as I pass through middle age.
As long as they don't sag to your knees I don't see an issue.
Saw someone the other day whose bellybutton did though. And it was winter.
I said no due to social acceptance, or lack thereof. Personally, I couldn't care less if someone else has them. It's their body, not mine. I dint have them, and I don't want them, but that's just me.
