Does it make sense that people who favor the individual mandate see insurance companies as evil, yet favor forcing everyone to buy from the evil insurance companies?

Woah... Don't get me wrong, I was against the ACA before, but you've got a great point there that I'd never thought of before.

It's clearly their goal, to rig the playing field and eventually make it impossible for them to stay alive.

Then Uncle Sam will rush to the rescue! I just hope I'm dead before that happens.

Simply owing to the fact that those in D.C. (including Pres O) can't/won't dissolve the current system. Leftist Dems poll low for Obama as he threw away the choice most wanted by them - single payer - thereby bypassing the insurance game,

and putting an industry (not completely) out of business. Canada's system allows for supplemental insurance, so the industry would not disappear completely, but would be seriously reduced.

Well, it's the battle: Bloat government until every citizen is an employee, or shrink government until it fits in a bathtub and drown it. ;)
