Should a public cemetery be able to prevent families from having religious symbols or verses from being written on their loved ones resting place (link in comments)?
It's a place full of dead people. We should respect the dead and who they were. If they were Christian, then having a cross is okay. If they were whatever , we should respect that as well. It shouldn't be up for debate.
The cemetery manager actually compared it to someone wanting to put a swastika on a tombstone. The family said, "What if they did?" They had no desire to censor anyone else.
Only if it's making the cemetery look trashy.
