Here you go sir: 71K->143K raise by .10% 143K->218K raise by .10% and plus the addition of the taxes on the rich with our budget should do it. I'm the person behind the numbers.

I would favor changing, reducing, simplifying, etc. -- but current inheritance tax rules already exempt the first 5.25 million dollars of an estate. This seems to me to disproportionately benefit non-productive wealth transfers. Any counterpoints?

How will the lost revenue be made up?

Nice! I probably need to propose one when I think of one. I usually enjoy commenting on them though.

Why should they get ANY? He's already paid his whole life, and they want him to pay more after he's gone? Despicable.

They government doesn't have a moral claim to money simply because you died and left it to someone. The inheritance tax is theft, pure and simple.

No problem. I'm glad we agree again. We really aren't that far apart, it just seems like it because we don't talk about what we agree with, just debate where we differ lol

Haha! Yes! I supported your welfare bill as well. I think we agree on most fiscal issues.

The Republicans vote entirely on party lines, haha.

It isn't about a "moral" claim. The government is the only reason that money has any value as currency, remember.

What is the current law regarding inheritance tax? I could not find any previous bill dealing with it, but please forgive if I missed one.

One more question: this only eliminates the federal estate tax, and does not interfere with state inheritance taxes, correct?
