Tactical Tuesday: Welcome to the zombie apocalypse. How would you secure your home (disregard any need/desire to get out)?

I've got it covered: I've got a No Trespassing sign.

Be careful with those finger guns, they can get you arrested in some places...

Ok, I've got it made.
I would board up all the windows and hide up in the loft. As the zombies began to get in, I would knock them out one by one with my stock pile of guns :-)

I'd put a roundabout (or whatever the rest of the nation calls them) in front of my house. They're new here and would confuse the sh*t out of them.

The ground floor is not defendable so a tactical retreat to the second would be in order. The stairs make an excellent choke point. When a lion guards the crossing 10,000 dear may not cross.

Oh. Well, there goes that theory.

I'd be screwed if zombies decided to invade my apartment.

They're easily provoked, but you'll eventually have to leave your house for food and other necessities.

I'm guessing my security system won't keep them out? Unless they really don't like loud noises....

Even if you have no desire to get out, you'll have to escape and keep moving anyway, because the zombies will find a way in

I think the goal should be to keep them out completely so the alarm isn't tripped anyway, haha.

Honestly, I think if they aren't provoked or attractive in some way, they'll mostly be uninterested.

I could set it off to scare them, assuming that would scare them...

Loud noises would attract them :-\

There is a 'bridge' to get to my front door, so I could barricade that and/or cut it down. There is a deck in the back, so I would cut the steps off and wall the whole thing in. Then I'd board up all my windows, top and bottom.

Oh no, that's even worse! I'm doing well, about about yourself?

I'd have a two man squad go outside to put the hurricane shielding for the windows up. One to do the work, the other guarding them. Furniture stacked against doors.

All food and water supplies brought into the room with access to the attic, then

heavily fortify it with furniture to doors and the windows. We'd climb into the attic to create and exterior opening to the roof, enough to look out and gauge the zone in case of a need to bug out.

Strict "no light" rules when scavenging the rest

Kris Humidity Central

of the house for supplies. Try to stay as quiet as possible, make sure the fortified room is "light tight" so we can use candles and such at night when needed.

Bathroom is right outside fortified room, so we would likely just shit in the tub

Or if we can we would use bags and when they get full throw them out the attic access to the exterior. But that could draw in zeds.
We could just try to water it down and get it down a drain...hmm.

My house is only one level so we would probably end up going to my in laws....uh, on second thought, I rather get bitten by a zombie.
