Do you use a checkbook and write checks?
Only very rarely. I write maybe 3-4 checks per year. Usually for something school related where I need to send a check to school with one of the kids.
Hardly ever. I've had to go to my bank twice this year to get a sheet of checks to write for wedding vendors but otherwise I never use them.
I pay a couple bills by check each month, and when I mail $ to my nieces and nephews because I won't mail cash.
I only pay my rent via check.
Really!?! never heard of a check register and a calculator to keep track of what you have left?
I *have* a checkbook...
I pay 2 bills a month by check. One can be done by EFT but I keep forgetting to set it up. (Writing reminder to self.) There's no alternative for the other. I also write a monthly check to my daughter for my share of our family cell phone account.
I haven't written a check in years. All my bills are paid online, and purchases are credit, debit or cash.
Only on my children's birthdays.
Very rarely. We MAY wright 20 checks in a single year.
Make that ...write checks...
I haven't written a check in a few years.
Rarely. I think we only write checks to the school cafeteria, plumber, chimney sweep, painter, etc. I'm so glad bills are paid online now and I only use credit or debit when I shop.
Not very many
Reasoning for that?
I write a check once or twice a month at church. Otherwise VERY seldomly
Yes. I only pay a few things that way.
I pay a couple bills by check but keep an excel file to track the balance, not a pen and paper checkbook.
Once in a blue moon.
The only thing I still pay with a check is to my landlord for Rent & Water.
I typically keep a checkbook in the car for an emergency when cards aren't accepted (don't carry cash). Other than that I use checks for tithing.
Usually just for rent. The other bills I pay online
True. That's not a bad idea upswing the credit card to get cash back.
on occasion. Hoe are you doing after your fall?
I've only used a check perhaps a couple times in the last decade.
I refuse to write checks.
Yep. It's just easier to pay everything with cash or debit.
Anything I can't pay with a check, I pay with cash. I,write about 15 checks a month. Almost all the bills are done this way. The companies we are "forced" to use (no alternatives in area) change fees for telephone and internet payments. No thanks!
I pay everything I can with credit card, barely use cash or check, & at the end of the month I usually get $40-$50 dollars back from the credit card company.
I guess to each his own.....
Because I can't keep up with what check I wrote and what's cleared how much I have to spend it's just a hassle for me so I don't.
I also see them as a type of credit card. I believe if I can't pay cash for it I don't need it outside of a car or house.
Business checks only.
