Yes, Flake said he knows of 30 that would. I’ve also read that 35 would.

The congressmen should be held accountable to their constituents and not vote on important issues in secret.

If I don’t vote I can’t see the results on my iPad. I wouldn’t if that were not the case.

Nope and it would be unconstitutional.

If not unconstitutional it would be cowardly.

I don’t see why it would be unconstitutional.

Someone voting without concern of pressure from outside forces will almost always vote honestly...

They should vote based on the evidence provided, not any outside pressure. Only then will it be honest...

If the House voted on the evidence there wouldn’t even be an impeachment.

Yes. It might happen, too!

Romney, Gardner, Collins, Murkowski.

Absolutely.

Senate Republicans hate Trump too but are afraid they will lose their seat they publicly criticize him.

70% are against impeachment but that has nothing to do with this political process. What you don’t understand is that it isn’t fair, it’s strictly politics.

The Senate votes on the evidence provided by the house inquiry/investigation. At least half the country believe there should be an inquiry and almost half believe he should be removed based on the evidence.

I don’t think it is. I “think” there is a way to do it but I lost the link. 😨

It was actually the opposite. A GOP strategist said 30 would vote for impeachment, Flake said 35.

Flake isn’t long gone. He was in the last Congress.

Impeachment was designed as a political process from the beginning. That's why it is done through Congress...Plus every poll I've seen breaks around 50/50 on both impeachment and removal...

*chairs

Made up crimes and perceived by democrats. Obama just convicted his whistleblowers as treason and the media didn’t say a peep because he’s a democrat.

And do you realize democrats have tried to impeach every republican president since Eisenhower?
The mere fact that they’re not in power is their reason for impeachment because they think every politician that’s not a democrat has committed a crime of getting elected.

I think that's the reason why the ballot in this question is secret.

That’s the point. Those outside forces are their constituents... their employers.

No - I actually don’t think they would break ranks - they know Republican voters will punish all of them for their disregard to what Americans want. But I think this is what Democrats want by recommending such a ludicrous idea.

I want him to let it through - Senate can do a real investigation then.

Of course not THEY would be next in the Witch Hunt.

Probably.
During the election I didn't get the feeling of much support from Republicans in power, and some of that has pervaded the term, but voters seem smitten, so I don't think they'd do things which they feel would hurt their chances at reelection.

They would still get punished - why do we feel the need to undermine what the American people want? If I can’t hold my senator accountable - why not just have them vote on everything in private - fuck the American people, right?
