No natural gas in this subdivision - all electric.

We have a geothermal system. Heat/air/hot water. An alternative energy that is earth friendly and works.

Sounds good. They should implement that in the south side of Chicago.
Btw, my whole heating, Hot water and cooking stove cost me a total of 500 bucks last year. My boiler is 95% efficient.

It requires no fuel? It has to be electric for the pumps and the temps are in the 50’s coming out.

Our electricity coop buys hydroelectric, nuclear, and coal.

My gas grill and stove use propane.
Hot water holding tanks attached to geo. Free hot water half the year. The tanks also have elements in them if needed (electric).

I live in housing which shares walls, so CA law requires electric. Even though the heater is in the garage, CA regulators think gas could accumulate in the garage and blow up.
Air-tight garage???

But restaurants, which are in retail units with shared walls, can have gas! Typical CA regulations.

Gas-heated water feels hotter.

Ozzy, the temp coming out of the ground are not the temp you shower at! You have to have electricity or another source for that. That other sources are used to enhance thermal?

Ozzy, how do you get you hot water to temp? What do you cook on? Do you bbq with propane?

Yes electric to run the pump and fan, but no fuel. I have a 4 acre lake and the geo coils are in the lake (this method is economical)

Is it cost effective for you? Do you have a lot of land?
