I wouldn’t want to group all Democrats into that category, but the radical extremist who are very far left, yes I can see them being similar because they aren’t rational and will do anything to get their way with any force necessary. However, I don’t want to group them with the moderate and lesser extreme democrats who have rational explanations for certain policies.
