❓❓Trivia Tuesday ❓❓ The shortest leader in recorded history is reported to be which leader? No cheating lol A) James Madison, USA or B) Benito Juarez, Mexico
I think that was just a myth spread by his opponents.
It was the result of a different measuring system.
They did a lot during Napoleon's Regime. Check out metric time.
Muh enlightenment n reason
I thought you meant the leader who had the shortest reign as head of state.
Well, I mean Madison served a full term and multiple presidents served less than him so.
I think it's about height, not length of rule
Ah, okay. Nevermind hat then
I think Napoleon’s was the shortest!
🗣🧠 Answer 🧠🗣
Benito Juarez, President of Mexico 1858-1872. He was only 4’6”.
Napoleon was 5’6”
Madison was 5’4”
I knew this one. Actually, Benito Juarez is a big deal in Mexico, he is not just another president. His birthday is a holiday.
His most famous quote is “Among individuals, as among nations, respect for the rights of others is peace.”
Exactly. I would say more like Lincoln. The super famous non-founding father.
I’m surprised they teach about him in Russia. 👏👏👏
Yes, we studied him back home. He is regarded in Mexico like Washington or Lincoln are regarded in the US.
We learn about various histories. He was touched on in “History of the America’s” in International History. I remember it was interesting these two great men were in Office at the same time.
