Do you hope that the Trump-Kim Jong Un summit is a success?

How could anyone actually say no?

Amazing that anyone voted no on this. The TDS is real.

I hope so. I wouldn’t hold my breath, though.

The msm is hoping that it fails hard core so they can call trump a loser...

I hope, but don’t hold out much hope. I don’t see it as that big of a deal though, as the NK threat may be real, but the risk has proved to be very low.

Harsh sanctions and an economy in shambles doesn't sound like the upper hand to me.

06/10/18 7:45 pm

Of course. But KJU is +10 crazy, so I doubt much lasting change will come out of it.

I don't trust NK.

Trump walked away from the meeting initially, remember? Little Kimmy begged to get him back. Are you serious here?

North Korea has one of the worst economies. It's in shambles. Children have developed cataracts due to the lack of nutrition and virtually no healthcare system.

Sure. What does success mean? I hope the US removes all troops from the region.

Of course! What do you think I am? A Broadway or Hollywood liberal? A MSM "news"-reader?

I would say success means an agreement that all parties involved will not shoot at each other for a considerable period of time.

There is one major thing that Kim does have on Trump: his own theme song

NK will give Trump some idle promises so that he can boast about his success, but in reality, NK will come out ahead on the deal.

You're really exaggerating the economy. The DPRK is going in from a position of strength. I don't understand how you can't see it.

Yes. I don’t like Trump but I have no reason to actively wish for the failure of peace proceedings just because of something petty like that.

And I don't see how you can't see that America is coming from a position of strength when we initially walked away from the summit due to Kim's remarks, and our economy isn't suffering from heavy international sanctions. NK wants to grow and prosper. They really can't do that until sanctions are lifted. That won't happen until they denuclearize...and I mean really denuclearize.

I suppose that anything the DPRK would be willing to sign would be good enough for me. They have the upper hand, for once.

The economy is not in shambles. The DPRK has what it has been looking for, a deterrent against invasion. The US has come desperately to the negotiating table hoping to dismantle the nukes. How does the DPRK not have the upper hand? They have what they want. The US doesn't have what they want. The DPRK is coming from a position of power. The US, for once, is coming with their tail between their legs, asking for concessions.

It’s already a success because they actually agreed to meeting.

China will be the loser if they lose their buffer zone. NK is expendable to then if a conflict breaks out.

Yes, of course! Only time will tell and I'm not holding my breath.

I agree. China would lose big time if the DPRK gives up nukes.
