President Donald Trump declared on Twitter on Monday morning that "numerous legal scholars" agreed he has "the absolute right" to pardon himself.
They are pretty clearly mutually exclusive. The answer is the same as to every other question or decision involving a choice: Not-Trump.
Trump said this morning he could pardon himself. So this is your choice now.
Squid, he said that based on what numerous legal scholars have advised him on. He also said it wouldn’t be politically smart, as did some of his legal advisors.
President trump is currently the top third of our government. Only congress and the s court are equal to him.
Trump didn’t say he would pardon himself. You should know Trump by now that he’s going to say things just to tick off the media and the left. You have to know that’s what he’s doing.
Under the fundamental rule that no one may be a judge in his own case, the president cannot pardon himself," the Department of Justice declared in 1974.
Nobody is above the law. Not this president. Not any president.
He tick off Squidboy.
Semantics or not Squid, most presidents, including Trump, count on advisors for their legal positions. So it is important on who you attribute the “revelation” to.
That was an easy choice.
And I quote: ‘....I have the absolute right to pardon myself.’
Not for everyone
I would hope that you could put any President’s name there and still get a vote for the Constitution every time, at least for people who don’t have major issues with it.
You are arguing semantics. mobile.twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1003616210922147841
Clearly Trump, duh.
Apparently not...see below
