During this memorial day I ask you remember the men who were killed in the U.S.S. Liberty. 34 were killed and 171 were wounded by a deliberate attack on a U.S. naval ship. May our people one day avenge the nation that slaughtered our men.
It wasn't an accident. The pilot even identified it as a ship with a US flag and was ordered to attack it
Israel was trying to blame the attack on Egypt and get us involved in the 6 day war. They tried the same thing with the British in the Lavon Affair.
During the six-day war Israel mistakenly identified the US ship as an Egyptian ship and attacked them.
The secretary of defense called back US planes that would have defended the liberty so the troops couldn't get the support they needed.
No, replace the word “deliberate” with “accidental” and I would agree with you. Also, your second sentence is ridiculous. We should, of course, remember all fallen U.S. servicemen, regardless of how they were killed.
I’m not going to debate this with you, Luft. Think what you want to.
Really, my comments were more for other people reading this thread.
I will say this one thing, not for you, Luft, but for others.
Israel clearly didn’t need us to help them win the war.
I’ll fix his poll for him.
During this memorial day I ask you to remember the men who were killed in the U.S.S. Liberty. 34 were killed and 171 were wounded by a tragic and accidental attack on a U.S. naval ship, by an ally.
Luft is dumb enough to think Israel would purposely attack an ally.
WHO DID IT!!
