I'm voting yea, but if this passes, then I want to get a bipartisan coalition together to create a new healthcare plan to reduce the uninsured rate, ensure the solvency of Medicare, and lower premiums.

Way too vague, gigantic nay. How will you account for...
1. Those currently on ACÁ that are being treated and paying Through the insurance? Will they have to pay for an unfinished service or will they still be covered?
2. What is the begin date for the repeal?
3. Will those who payed for it be refunded?
4. What is the replacement?

11/30/17 4:18 pm insurance was much much cheaper before the ACA restricted people’s options and forced them to buy things they didn’t want or need. Making more options available will enable prices to drop. That’s not really debatable.

I totally support the idea but I cannot support this bill. This bill is way too vague. It needs to include a repeal date and refund for the people who already bought the insurance.

People used to be able to buy plans with $500 deductibles for $30/month and now are restricted to $13,000 deductibles for $750/month per family members.

Yea, although it does need more detail.

I want to propose an amendment that says "Section 2: This bill will start in 2019"

1) No. There would obviously be no effect on policies that have already been purchased.
2) Hereby. Immediately.
3) Same as 1.
4) Go for it.

All of that is pretty much according to you and not mentioned in the bill..

johonmilla Monroe, nc

Exactly. It’ll at most answer 2, though barely, but not the rest.

And the author of the bill just added an amendment stating it is to begin 2019, showing it wasn’t meant to be immediate.

It answers all of them. That’s fine if the author wants to change the date. I was just answering your questions as the bill was proposed.

Sure, I'd like to see how the replacement comes along.

Nay. No replacement, no repeal. Also, could these be more vague and underachieving?

The repeal date would be immediate.

People that already purchased insurance would just keep what they purchased, then have more and cheaper options when they buy their next policy.

“Then they have more and cheaper options”
It’ll at most return things the way they were pre-ACÁ, and things weren’t cheap or “more”.

“The Affordable Car Act is hereby repealed.”

That’s literally the text of the bill.

Section 1: The Affordable Care Act is hereby repealed.
