Modern American culture glorifies victimhood.
Yep - it glorifies victimhood so much that liberals create imaginary bogeymen. It’s quite remarkable.
It works out great for them. They can make themselves out to be heroes by defeating the evil right. The more "victims" the more they can help.
When people are victims, they are less likely to be called out on their faults because it’s not pc to do. The public tends to glaze over, for fear of being the bad guy.
I️ agree with thatguy because earlybird proved him wrong so easily it made him a victim, and victims are always right.
The down vote squad must be in full force today. Your poll was at zero a few seconds after it was posted. 👎
Uh oh, thatguy’s response made me feel bad about myself, and earlybird is pouting- that means we’re the victims now, and he’s the aggressor, so he loses.
It’s the preferred means for getting attention (and advancing the democrat agenda) for many democrats.
Victim hood is treated “as special or elevated”.
How can you disagree with that?
That’s just me. I️ downvote my own polls to make people feel bad for me. Victimhood FTW!
Yes. Its a sign of a weak declining culture.
I️’m not making an argument. I’m just mocking you. I️ don’t need to do anything more than that in polls where Democrats are so obviously at odds with reality.
I️ only ever troll you. If you ever do anything other than stomp your feet and call me a racist/sexist/bigot/stupidhead to close a discussion then maybe I’ll reconsider.
If you’re interested in reading up on this topic, here’s an article from an nbc affiliate about a study that found 6% of teens admit to bullying _themselves_ online so they can claim victim status.
Ok, think I’ll bow out now.
guy, a perfect example is a popular user from the past. She was known for posting pics of her high heal shoes. She got away with saying all kinds of hateful crap because she was “a victim”. You know who I’m talking about.
Whenever someone called her out, the entire app jumped down that persons throat. It happened the entire time she was here.
Yep, that’s true.
I know. You can’t help it.
Nice try at claiming victim status, btw.
No. What absurd nonsense.
It's getting much better at acknowledging victimhood, but I wouldn't say it glorifies it.
Yes. It absolutely does.
I don’t get it- coffee makers?
I am! And that’s why I️ win!
Who’s the victim?
Yes and this happens on both sides
No. This is just a ridiculous justification for dismissing victims and not changing anything.
I felt sorry for the Menendez Brothers because the were orphaned.
I️ never understand the percentages on these types of questions until I️ look at the “results” tab and see what groups voted lol makes sense now
Yes, everyone thinks they're a victim. Lefties think they're victims of big business and facism. Righties think they're victims of big government and political correctness.
It's really quite stupid and we need to purge both sides of this victim hood mentality.
I️ think I️ remember a guy who used to do that, EB. Not sure who you’re talking about.
Go look at the video of the Communists and useful idiots screaming at the sky on the anniversary of the election on November 8th.
You're right. The statement is just a way to justify ignoring issues.
Yes, that’s what micro aggressions seem like .
A world of knuckleheads.
I'll never understand what passes for humor to conservatives.
Duh, South Park made an episode devoted to that this season
It makes you a liberal.
Because it's not true. How is it elevated? Acknowledgement isn't elevation, and it sure as hell isnt glorification.
If you want to see Snowflakes on the left look at college campuses. If you want to see Snowflakes on the right look at the Hannity viewers throwing their own coffee makers off balconies.
Agree and rewards it. Some people never take responsibility for their own bad choices and keep making them because it is always someone else’s fault.
True and get lots of money. If you are a victim the government must take money from others and compensate you.
If only you had an argument instead of bad jokes...
