Do you believe in the gender wage gap?
But even in that case, it's not a wage gap. It's an earnings gap, equal to the median annual incomes of women in the full time work force divided by the median annual incomes of men in the full time work force.
I've done extensive research. No respectable economist regards the wage gap with any bit of acknowledgement. It's been proven fake countless times.
Yeah. Liberals really need to stop pushing the idea that it's corporations getting away with paying women less. If this was true, not only would it be illegal according to the Equal Pay Act 1963, but also not make sense according to the fact that most companies would then only hire women to cut costs on wages.
It had been debunked so many times it isn't worth a second thought.
The touted 77cents stat is misleading, because it only compares total earnings without controlling for various other factors. Women doing the same work as men make about 97cents per dollar. Not perfect, but not the end of the world. The real problem that should be being discussed is why these extraneous factors exist that cause women to choose less lucrative jobs.
Nope. If anything, women in same job as men might make more than men.
Actually women working the same job as men get the exact same amount. There is no wage gap at all. You're not including seniority or the willingness to work night shifts.
I've heard countless liberal elites claim that sexism is behind the "wage gap" and that corporations get away with it. Hillary Clinton for example.
I believe in a gender earnings gap...
I don't believe in fairy tales.
Is it even worth that first thought?
I’ve never heard a liberal say that
Not even worth a half a thought.
Not sexism in th way you’ve explained it
Do some research
I can't tell if you replied to the wrong person because your post makes zero sense in response to mine.
You claimed that women still get 3 cents less. It's not even that much.
I don't believe that is correct, but regardless, it's completely separate from the actual point I was making.
In some jobs yes. But not all. These blanket accusations hurt the convo not help.
