I've had long spells of being in that type of mood before. I would have felt a lot better if my girl sat next to me and said "Are you alright? I'm here if you wanna talk about stuff"

It was basically intermittent bouts of depression caused by prolonged stress. We try to internalize as much as possible, but sometimes it's too much and we kinda shut down for a while until the stress gets filed in the proper place. Kind of like a computer that constantly gets updates, but sometimes gets full and has to defragment. It's nice to know that there's an "external hard drive" available to talk to and offload some stress
