Do you have Amazon Video? If so, can you please tell me your thoughts on it.
I have the Prime but rarely use the video portion. Selection isn't nearly as good as on Hulu or Netflix. The Prime music is great and of course the free shipping rocks socks.
We only just started using it. It's OK and a nice EXTRA for getting Prime but not a reason to get Prime.
Netflix is better.
What is available is fine. It's just that sometimes it feels like the selection is limited.
The value of Amazon Prime is more than having video.
Definitely not pro-Nazi. It's more focused on individuals making difficult decisions in tough circumstances.
Okay... Well then I will keep that in mind.
I have prime for the shopping experience alone, a couple movies and shows that Netflix and Hulu didn't have just sweetened the deal for me. 10/10 would recommend
It's like Netflix with some overlap and a lot of stuff that Netflix doesn't have while also not having a lot that Netflix has.
Not sure what you're saying that's different than what I was saying.
But the question was only referring to Amazon Video, not everything else available with Prime.
Netflix has better video selections than Amazon.
The selection you get is definitely below Netflix or Hulu but there are some things on Amazon you can't get on either of those two...overall it's with it since you get the free 2-day shipping and unlimited photo storage and such
It's a nice bonus with prime. I watch it on occasion
So if you have Amazon prime you get video for free?
Overall video selection is below average but they have an occasional gem. Currently "Man in the High Castle".
My pleasure! LOTS of current Prime members have no idea how much is available to them with their membership! And it seems like they add stuff fairly regularly. Even if you don't really shop on Amazon regularly, a Prime membership *can* make sense if you're likely to make use of the other benefits.
I rarely watch it, but when I do, it's fairly enjoyable.
Oh really? So some shows charge extra other than membership price to view them?
Great selection of movies but not as many tv shows as Netflix
They carry shows/movies Netflix don't. Between the two, we can almost always find things we want to watch.
Bonus: we recently got the AmazonMusic app & are really enjoying that too!
Well, I can watch anything that's available to Amazon Prime members. But, they show you *all* available videos (unless you filter by "Prime only") and there are a lot that aren't under the Prime umbrella (seems that's always the stuff I'm most interested in) and you have to pay for anything that isn't on Prime. But, Prime movies and shows do switch out. It's a little like HBO in that regard. The selection does change all the time.
I also back up all my iPad pix on AmazonPrime... we use Prime features a *lot*!
If you want, you can give me a few you would be interested in and I'll let you know if they're available or not. That might give you an idea.
AmazonVideo recently started developing their own content. They have been behind the other options but appear to be catching up. At about $8.25 a month, ($99/12), considering all the *other* benefits you get for that *same* $99 a year, it is a huge bonus over Netflix &/or Hulu, ime.
And their catalog is expanding.
Video selection isn't as good as Netflix or Hulu, but the original series are good and the rental options are easy.
The thing *we* really appreciate becuz f our situation, is being able to *download* shows & movies for offline viewing. Netflix added that recently but so far we've unsuccessful downloading *anything*.
It is not pro Nazi but, given two bad choices between Japanese and Nazi rulers, the show definitely makes the Nazi America out to be a better place than Japanese America.
Oh wow! I didn't know it had all that! Whatever I was looking at was basically saying music and video with 2 day delivery. Thanks so much!
Ah okay. I was just curious, thankyou.
Doesn't work on Xbox very well. Crashes a lot.
Okay that's good information to know since I use Xbox. Thanks
I'm seeing the trend of Netflix is better. I have Netflix and Hulu already though.
Okay thanks for the info!
This is actually why I'm wanting to get it. I really want to see this show.
I'm probably gonna do it because of this exact reason. They have some stuff I want to see and Netflix or Hulu doesn't.
Quinditto? I suppose it would be. Thanks you all.
Not nearly as good as Netflix.
It's okay. I use it on occasion and it does have some good content. But, like most of the services out there, the included selection is limited and anything I'm really dying to watch seems to cost extra.
The value of Prime is shipping and access to music, video, a free monthly pre-release book, and some other such things.
The main one I'm currently interested in is The Man in the High Castle. I appreciate this a lot!
I just started reading the book, and they haven't got too detailed into everything..... But can I ask... Is it pro Nazi? Because some accounts I've read about make it seem like it's a perfect Nazi world and other just say it's just an alternate history.
